Sunday brunch

Yesterday I had a brunch in my favourite restaurant: the Kofler. I ate fresh salmon and tuna: delightful. Here is the outfit for a relaxing rainy Sunday: black turtleneck under a violet wool dress with vintage belt. Simply and confortable, but in the meanwhile chic.

Ieri sono andata a pranzo nel mio ristorante preferito: il Kofler. Ho mangiato salmone e tonno freschi: delizioso. Ecco l'outfit per una domenica rilassante e piovosa: dolcevita nero sotto un abito di lana viola con una cintura vintage. Semplice e comodo, ma nello stesso tempo elegante.

Ballin

About a month ago I visited the Ballin store (what a shame don't have my camera with me!) and I tried this ankle boots: I think that my feet never felt so comfortable in all the entire life! Leather was so soft, instead of  the hight heels (I think 12-14 cm, but the plateau helps!). Anyway I think that they are really chic with the black bow on the back, instead of in front of the shoe as usual. Also the bow is the distinguishing mark of the maison, for sure for this winter. Note the pochettes well mixed with the shoes and the boots in leather + lapin, my favourites. Ballin is an international brand and it's all made in Italy: maybe you could add some items for your Christmas whishlist!

Circa un mese fa sono andata allo store di Ballin (che peccato non aver avuto la macchina fotografica con me!) e ho provato questi tronchetti: penso che i miei piedi non si siano mai sentiti così comodi in tutta la loro vita! La pelle era così soffice nonostante il tacco molto alto (penso 12-14 cm, ma il plateau aiuta!). Comunque penso che siano veramente molto eleganti con il nastro nero annodato dietro, anziché davanti come nelle altre scarpe. Inoltre il fiocco è il tratto distintivo della maison, almeno per questo inverno. Notate le pochette perfettamente abbinate con le scarpe e gli stivali pelle + lapin, i miei preferiti. Ballin è un marchio internazionale, ma è interamente fatto in Italia: forse potete aggiungere qualcosa alla vostra lista dei regali di Natale che vorreste!

Leggings mania

I have to admit it: it's a real mania! Leggings are everywhere, in every colour, fabric and pattern, weared with sweaters and jackets, shirts and boots. They are comfortable, nice, warm, funny and made you look skinny. So why don't wearing them? There is no reason! Which ones do I prefer? But the Just Cavalli ones, of course!

Lo devo ammettere: è una vera mania! I leggings sono dovunque, con qualsiasi colore, tessuto e fantasia, indossati con maglioni e giacche, camice e stivali. Sono comodi, belli, caldi, divertenti e ti fanno sembrare più magra. Quindi perché non indossarli? Non c'è alcuna ragione! Quelli che preferisco? Ma quelli di Just Cavalli naturalmente!

Brocade + fur

When I saw this coat at the f/w 2010-2011 fashion shows I thought: that's wonderful, I would have me too! But it's definetly a dream. Anyway Roberto Cavalli, as one of my favourite fahion designers, never cease to amaze me. Look how the brocade fabric is perfectly mixed with the border fur in opposite colours (in the first photo), or in same colours for a modern/classic look (in the second photo).

Quando ho visto questo cappotto della collezione a/i 2010-2011 ho pensato: è meraviglioso, mi piacerebbe averne uno anch'io! Ma è un sogno. Comunque Roberto Cavalli, uno dei miei stilisti preferiti, non finisce mai di stupirmi. Notate come il broccato è perfettamente abbinato con il bordo in pelliccia a colori contrastanti (nella prima foto), o nella stessa tonalità per un look più classico ma comunque moderno (nella seconda foto).

Country style

Spending an afternoon in the country in this season coul be risky: you could find lots of rain and cold or a shy sun and warm temperature. I was lucky: that's why for this outfit I wore, starting from below, skinny velvet trousers inside leather boots, as properly said modern style. Then, above, a simply white shirt whit a leather belt and jacket with bat-wing sleeves, all vintage. The jacket, the belt and the boots are all brown, like the chestnuts colour.

Passare un pomeriggio in campagna in questa stagione può essere rischioso: si può trovare un sacco di pioggia e freddo oppure un po' di sole ed una temperatura tiepida. Io sono stata fortunata: ecco perché in questo outfit ho potuto indossare (partendo dal basso) pantaloni di velluto skinny rigorosamente dentro agli stivali, come comanda la moda del momento. Sopra una semplice camicia bianca con in vita una cintura di pelle ed un giubbotto con le maniche a pipistrello, tutto vintage. Il giubbotto, la cintura e gli stivali sono tutti marroni, come il colore delle castagne.

EMAs special

Yesterday, as you know, the MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Madrid: lots of stars and singers walked the red carpet, (not) all shining and wearing fantastic clothes. Here you are some of the best clothes I've seen during the evening: surely the award as Best Dressed goes to... Eva Longoria, presenter of this year, that changed clothes at least ten times during all night with dream dresses. A special note goes to Rihanna: she wore a wonderful dress, but was she getting married?

Black leather... and a hat

Great coming back of the leather in this winter! That's why I rummaged in my wardrobe and took out my black eco leather trousers. This is a classic piece but I match it with my new ankle boots (please note the little fur on the border!) and a long wool sweater, all black. To make all less serious I add a borsalino hat with some sequins, one of my preferred hat. So, in this outfit I wear leather and fur, two of the main trends in this winter, and also some glitter on the hat.

Black & white

Sunday I went to Venezia to see an opera in La Fenice theatre: L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti. It was a fantastic and funny show, in spite of the weather: it rained cats and dogs from the morning until the evening. That's why there are no photos of the outside, but only inside the theatre in this post (and sorry for the bad quality!). On this occasion I wore a white wool dress with all black accessories. The only touch of colour is a dark blue nailpolish that seems nearly black. Look at the beautiful belt and necklace: it's all vintage!
