Summer wedding

What would you wear in a summer wedding? I thought a lot about it and I chose a multicolor HANDMADE DRESS. It's in silk-viscose, with kimono sleeves and really fresh even if the day was hot.

What a week end!

As I announced it in advance in my last post, on friday I took part in the proposal by Tu Style magazine. They took some shoots of my outfit as you can see by the pictures below. For this occasion I choose a printed sheath dress (one of my favourites) and a short shantung jacket. The accessories are yellow and black. It was really funny and I met a colleague of mine: the fashion blogger Irene from Irene's Closet blog. She is very nice, we talk a lot and she gives me advices for my blog. Come vi avevo preannunciato nel mio ultimo post, venerdì ho partecipato all'iniziativa della rivista Tu Style. Mi hanno fatto un po' di foto del mio outfit come potete vedere dalle foto di seguito. A funny suit

What do you think about this suit not conventional? It's easy and young thanks to the coloured printed parts mixed with a light denim, but in the meantime it's chic and right for the office. I prefer it to the others more severe, especially in this warm season.

Cosa ne pensate di questo completo non convenzionale? E' divertente e giovane grazie agli inserti stampati molto colorati mescolati con un jeans leggero, ma allo stesso tempo è elegante e adatto all'ufficio. Lo preferisco ad altri più seri, specialmente in questa stagione piacevolmente calda.

My this season's best

I found this wonderful picture of this pair of shoes by Valentino Garavani: if I had an unlimited credit card I would buy them for sure. In my opinion, these are the perfect spring shoes because they haven't an open tip (such as practically all shoes in shops now) and they have a medium heel. But the real difference is the small chain on the anckle: that makes this shoes very chic, almost airy. Even the light colour, probably white, makes them my this season's best.

Ho trovato questa bellissima foto di questo paio di scarpe di Valentino Garavani: se avessi moltissimi soldi me le comprerei di sicuro. Secondo me, queste sono le perfette scarpe primaverili perché non hanno la punta aperta (come praticamente tutte le scarpe nei negozi in questo momento) ed hanno un tacco medio. Ma la vera differenza la fa la piccola catenella alla caviglia: le rende molto eleganti, quasi eteree. Anche il colore chiaro, probabilmente bianco, fa di queste scarpe le mie preferite di questa stagione.

Saturday at market

Saturday I went to the second European biggest square: Prato della Valle in Padua. On Saturday, all day long, there is a big big street market, where you could find everything, especially clothes and shoes. Because of the wonderful weather, I took some shoots of this spring outfit: jeans and t-shirt with geometric fabric, a brocade jacket with a silk scarf in bright colours. Don't you think that bright colours made people happier? In my case, this works!

Sabato sono stata nella seconda piazza più grande d'Europa: Prato della Valle a Padova. Il sabato, per tutto il giorno, c'è un gigantesco mercato, dove si può trovare di tutto, specialmente abbigliamento ed accessori. Siccome c'era un tempo meraviglioso, ho fatto qualche scatto del mio outfit primaverile: jeans e t-shirt a motivi geometrici, una giacca di broccato con una sciarpina di seta a colori vivaci. Non pensate anche voi che i colori vivaci rendano le persone un po' più felici? Nel mio caso funziona!

Dreaming on

This night I dreamt about... a wedding dress! It was made by organdie and tulle with an asymmetric embroidery made with sequins and Swarovsky crystal on the top. This dress was quite unusual because it was light pink! Just waked up I tried to drawing it... this is the result. What do you think about it? Do you like it? Or is it too much?

Questa notte ho sognato... un abito da sposa! Era fatto tutto di organza e tulle con un ricamo asimmetrico di paillettes e Swarovsky sul corpetto. Il tutto era piuttosto strano perché l'abito era rosa chiaro! Appena mi sono svegliata ho provato a disegnarlo... questo è il risultato. Cosa ne pensate? Vi piace? Oppure è troppo?

Spring denim

It seems to be coming back to 10 years ago when, at the beginning of 2000's, denim was everywhere on the catwalks: this year Just Cavalli (one of my favourite brands) presents it again in 70's style with floral embroideries, sequins and very garish decorations. He use it everywhere, from hat to shoes, mixing various denim colours and matching it with very colourful big stones.  If I had the chance to choose one of this clothes, I really don't know which, because they are all ones and specials. I am very satisfied for this revised denim because I love this fabric, it's very various and suitable for many situations.

Sembra di essere tornati a 10 anni fa quando, all'inizio degli anni 2000, il jeans spadroneggiava tra le passerelle: quest'anno Just Cavalli (uno dei miei brand preferiti) lo ripropone in versione anni '70 con ricami florerali, paillettes e decorazioni molto vistose. Lo utilizza dappertutto, dal cappello alle scarpe, mixando vari colori di denim ed accostandolo a coloratissime pietre giganti. Se avessi la possibilità di scegliere uno di questi capi, veramente non saprei quale, perché sono tutti unici e particolari. Sono molto soddisfatta di questa rivisitazione del jeans, perché è un tessuto che amo, molto versatile, adatto a più occasioni.

Thanks Seagate

Here I am back again, thanks to the help of the Seagate customer center. I know that this is not a tech blog, but I think that this was an important experience even for other people that have my own problem. As I wrote in my previous post, my hard drive was brocken and my pc didn't work. I sent a request to the manufacturer customer center because the hard drive is under warranty yet. After 10 minutes I sent the request, I received an e-mail where they asked me exactly what kind of problem I had. At the end of the discussion, they told me that a courier collected my hard drive at their own charges and brought it to the European branch for the problem analysis and eventually for the data recovery. After a week that my hard drive had left, it came back functioning, with all the data inside and without spending money. So thanks Seagate for helping me! And remember: if you had a problem with something, before doing anything, contact the customer center, it would help you!

Eccomi qui di nuovo, grazie all'aiuto del servizio clienti di Seagate. Lo so che questo non è un blog di informatica, ma penso che questa potrebbe essere un'esperienza importante anche per altre persone che hanno il mio stesso problema. Come ho scritto nel mio post precedente, il mio hard disk era rotto ed il mio pc non funzionava. Ho mandato una richiesta al servizio clienti del produttore perché l'hard disk era ancora in garanzia. Dopo 10 minuti che avevo inviato la richiesta, ho ricevuto una mail dove mi chiedevano esattamente che tipo di problema avessi. Alla fine della discussione, mi hanno detto che un corriere sarebbe venuto a ritirare l'hard disk a loro spese, e l'avrebbe portato nella filiale europea per l'analisi del problema, ed eventualmente per il recupero dati. Dopo una settimana che il mio hard disk era partito, è tornato funzionante, con dentro tutti i dati e soprattutto senza spendere un euro. Perciò grazie Seagate per avermi aiutato! E ricordate: se avete un problema con qualcosa, prima di fare qualsiasi cosa, contattate il servizio clienti, protrebbe esservi molto d'aiuto!

Bad luck on my way

Just a quick updating about my situation: I am not dead, not yet at least (talking potentially, of course!), but I have a big problem with my pc: the hard drive is out of order, so the pc doesn't work. But I have all my data inside: photos, drafts, new topics, etc. and I cannot reach them. Solo un aggiornamento veloce sulla mia situazione: non sono morta, non ancora perlomeno (virtualmente parlando s'intende!), ma ho un grosso problema con il pc: l'hard disk è rotto, perciò il pc non funziona. Sanremo festival

Maybe not everybody knows that in February in Italy it takes place the most important singing contest of the entire country. It is the Sanremo Festival, just finished. During this week in the entire country nothing doesn't matter anymore and medias talk only about it. Beyond the singing contest, it is a various show that involves also the fashion world. During this week the artists wear new collections' clothes and the fashion designers compete to dress the hosts. Below you could see some of the most beautiful hosts' outfit, or at least those which I loved the most.

Forse non tutti sanno che in Febbraio in Italia ha luogo il più importante festival della canzone di tutto il paese. E' il Festival di Sanremo, appena conclusosi. Durante questa settimana l'intero paese si ferma, non importa più di niente ed i media parlano solo di lui. Al di là della gara canora, è uno spettacolo vario che tocca anche il mondo della moda. Durante questa settimana infatti, gli artisti indossano abiti delle nuove collezioni e gli stilisti fanno a gara per vestire i conduttori. Di seguito trovate alcuni dei look più belli delle conduttrici, o almeno quelli che mi sono piaciuti di più.

Figures on ice

After spending some days on the mountains relaxing and doing winter sports, here I am again. Someone wrote me about my delay on publishing news and I hope he'll be satisfied now. I took an holiday in Piancavallo (PN), a great ski resort. The first day, when we arrived, we went directly to the ice stadium and I had a wonderful surprise: the ice stadium was only for us! Here you are what happened!

Dopo aver passato alcuni giorni in montagna rilassandomi e facendo sport invernali, eccomi di nuovo qui. Qualcuno mi ha scritto sul perché non pubblicassi più post e spero che ora sia soddisfatto. Sono stata in vacanza a Piancavallo (PN), una fantastica località sciistica. Il primo giorno, quando siamo arrivati, siamo andati direttamente al palazzo del ghiaccio e lì ho trovato una sorpresa meravigliosa: lo stadio del ghiaccio era solo per noi! Ecco cosa è successo!

Ray of light

After long and grey days, finally a sunny day! I go outside and take some photos with my new short faux fur black & white. Isn't it cool?

Dopo lunghe giornate grigie, finalmente un po' di sole! Sono uscita e ho fatto delle foto con il mio nuovo pellicciotto corto bianco &  nero. Non è fantastico?

Pure chic

Last Saturday I saw the Jesus Christ Superstar musical: it was an extraordinary experience, a wonderful show with great singers and dancers. The cast is completely italian, but all the show was in english. There was the great Mario Venuti, the beautiful Simona Bencini, but for sure the best was the big Matteo Beccucci. The show was great, wonderful, super, extraordinary, beautiful, amazing, magnificent, funny, unbelievable. And I suggest you to see it.
Coming back to the fashion world, I found this photo by Ralph Lauren: for me, this is pure chic and there are no words to explain it.

Sabato scorso ho visto il musical Jesus Christ Superstar: è stata un'esperienza straordinaria, uno spettacolo meraviglioso con grandi cantanti e ballerini. Il cast è tutto italiano, ma l'intero show era in inglese. C'era il grande Mario Venuti, la bella Simona Bencini, ma sicuramente il migliore è stato il grandissimo Matteo Beccucci. Lo spettacolo è stato grande, meraviglioso, super, straordinario, bellissimo, eccezionale, magnifico, divertente, incredibile. E vi consiglio di andare a vederlo se vi capita.
Tornando alla moda, ho trovato questa foto di Ralph Lauren: per me, questa è eleganza pura e non c'è altro da aggiungere.

Prince of Wales

Here you are an outfit totally made in Prince of Wales. You know that Prince of Wales fabric is used to made jackets and trousers, it's so fashionable and warm. I used two different Prince of Wales fabrics to make waistcoat and trousers: both are grey and in wool. This look is so man-styled so the accessories are super lady-styled: high heels décolletés, big shopping bag and a hat with sequins to make more fun! You can also add big earrings and lots of bracelets (better gold colour) and you are perfect to go to work.

Ecco a voi un outfit fatto in Principe di Galles. Sapete che il Principe di Galles è utilizzato per fare giacche e pantaloni, è molto di moda ed è caldo. Io ho usato due diversi tipi di Principe di Galles per fare il gilet ed i pantaloni: sono entrambi grigi e in lana. Questo look è molto maschile perciò gli accessori saranno super femminili: décolletés con tacco alto, una grande shopping bag ed un cappello con le paillettes per sdrammatizzare! Si possono anche aggiungere grandi orecchini ed un sacco di braccialetti (meglio dorati) e sarete perfette per andare al lavoro.

Natural style

After complex and elaborate outfits for Christmas holidays, here you are a simple and natural look. I have no make up and even the hair is natural, without styling. I wear a sweater, skinny velvet trousers, comfortable boots, a down jacket and a long long scarf. What do you think about it? Am I so awful without make up?

Dopo outfit complessi ed elaborati per le festività natalizie, ecco un look semplice e naturale. Non ho trucco e anche i capelli sono naturali, senza messa in piega. Indosso un maglione, pantaloni di velluto skinny, stivali comodi, un piumino e una sciarpa lunga lunga. Cosa ne pensate? Sono così tremenda senza trucco?
